CCFH to Propose Draft Guidelines

Codex Committee of Food Hygiene (CCFH) commissions and e-working group to propose Draft Guidelines on the Application of General Principles of Food Hygiene for the Control of Foodborne Parasites

The primary purpose of these guidelines is to provide guidance on preventing, inactivating, or reducing foodborne parasite hazards that present a public health risk. The guidelines provide science-based advice to governments and the food industry on a framework for the control of foodborne parasites in foods, with the aim of protecting the health of consumers and ensuring fair practices in food trade. The guidelines also provide information that will be of value to consumers and other interested parties.
